Applying for a Kuwaiti dependant visa
1. All adults (main applicant and dependants who are 18 years and above) should obtain a Police Clearance Certificate (criminal record) from the UK. Information about how to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate from the UK is found on the following website.
2. The Police Clearance Certificate should be attested by:
a) The Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Milton Keynes. (for legislation information, please go to www.fco.gov.uk) you then need to go to Quick Links, and Legalise documents.
b) Kuwaiti Embassy in London. Tel: +4420 7590 3400, or visit their website.
3. If you are bringing your wife or children, the marriage certificate should be legalised by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Milton Keynes. If it is a foreign marriage, the certificate should be stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country that issued it and by the British Embassy/High Commission in that country.
4. The marriage certificate should then be stamped by the British Embassy in Kuwait. Please check fee no 1 (i) on the fee list.
5. Certificates should then be translated. see list of translators.
6. Translated copies should be stamped by Kuwait Ministry of Justice.
7. Finally, translations must be stamped by Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
