Please note that Kuwaiti authorities require UK criminal record certificates to be attested by:
1- The Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Milton Keynes.
2- Kuwait Embassy in London. Tel: +4420 7590 3400, or visit their website.
Police Clearance from Kuwait
If you wish to apply for a Police Clearance in Kuwait you need to do the following:
1- Apply for a letter to official authorities at the British Embassy. The letter will be ready in 24 hours. You need to:
- Bring a copy of your passport
- Bring a copy of your Civil ID
- Pay fee no.3 (a)
2- Go to the Criminal Evidence Department in Farwaniya (Dajeej Area on the 6th Ring Road) near the General Department of Immigration. You need to:
- Be there in person
- Give your finger print
- Take with you a photograph
- Take your original passport
- Take your Kuwaiti Civil ID
Note: After taking your finger prints, you will be asked to go back in a week or 10 days to collect your certificate.
3- Take the certificate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Shuwaikh, next to KUNA and Kuwait Red Crescent (near City Centre Shuwaikh).
- Certificate attestation fee is KD 5
- Certificate collection is on the same day
4- The final step is to bring your certificate to the Embassy to be stamped.
- Certificate will be ready for collection on the next working day
- Pay fee no.1(i)
